The Problem

Txo.io had experienced strong momentum in product development and customer acquisition. However, as we began engaging with larger enterprise clients, we encountered new challenges around compliance and vendor security due diligence.

While our internal security practices were sound, proving compliance — quickly and repeatedly — became increasingly difficult. Each enterprise deal introduced unique security questionnaires, framework requirements, and audit documentation needs.

“Our team was spending valuable engineering hours pulling logs, collecting screenshots, and managing spreadsheets just to respond to routine requests,” explains Morgan, CTO at Txo.io.

Initially, our compliance efforts were managed using shared documents, manual evidence collection, and ad hoc communication across teams. This fragmented approach was manageable when the deal volume was low, but quickly became a bottleneck as the business scaled.

A turning point came when a prospective enterprise client, representing $1.2 million in potential revenue, required live visibility into our SOC 2 Type II progress, GDPR alignment, and evidence of ongoing control monitoring. We had just three weeks to respond.

It became clear that our current methods were not scalable. We needed a modern compliance solution that could centralize our operations, eliminate manual processes, and allow us to proactively manage evolving regulatory requirements.

The Solution

After evaluating several compliance platforms, we selected SecureSlate for its intuitive user experience, deep automation capabilities, and strong support for multi-framework compliance.

From the outset, SecureSlate made onboarding seamless. Within hours, we integrated our cloud infrastructure, HR tools, and access management systems into the platform.

“SecureSlate felt purpose-built for fast-moving, high-growth teams. It integrated easily into our tech stack and adapted to our workflows from day one,” says Morgan.

With guidance from SecureSlate’s compliance specialists, we quickly customized our SOC 2 implementation. The platform allowed us to select only the Trust Services Criteria relevant to our operations, reducing noise and focusing effort.

Key SecureSlate features we adopted included:

  • Automated control monitoring
  • Real-time compliance dashboards
  • Task workflows for training, policy reviews, and evidence uploads
  • Pre-built integrations with our core systems (e.g., AWS, Google Workspace, HRIS)

The platform’s intelligent alert system notified us of potential control drift, upcoming deadlines, and missing evidence, well before issues could impact audits.

“What set SecureSlate apart was its ability to anticipate our needs. It wasn’t just a passive tracking tool — it actively helped us stay ahead,” Morgan adds.

In addition to day-to-day operational improvements, SecureSlate provided a unified compliance framework. This centralization allowed us to manage SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and HIPAA requirements from a single interface, significantly reducing redundancy and administrative effort.

The Impact

$2.3 Million in Enterprise Contracts Secured

Within the first quarter of using SecureSlate, Txo.io closed two enterprise contracts totaling $2.3 million in revenue. Both clients required a high level of confidence in our compliance posture and audit readiness.

SecureSlate allowed us to demonstrate this confidently. During negotiations, we shared live dashboards, evidence trails, and security reports, turning what used to be a delay into a differentiator.

“With SecureSlate, we didn’t just meet the bar — we raised it. Our ability to showcase real-time compliance significantly accelerated deal cycles,” notes Morgan.

143 Hours of Manual Work Eliminated

Over three months, we saved approximately 143 hours of manual compliance work across engineering, HR, and operations.

By automating evidence collection, policy updates, task reminders, and training verification, SecureSlate eliminated repetitive tasks and reduced the burden on our lean team.

Previously, managing compliance meant constant context switching for technical team members. With SecureSlate, that time is now reinvested in product development and customer success.

“Compliance used to be an all-hands effort every quarter. Now, it runs quietly and continuously in the background,” says Morgan.

Always-On Audit Readiness

One of the most valuable outcomes of our partnership with SecureSlate was the transformation of compliance from a point-in-time activity to a continuous process.

The platform ensured we were consistently audit-ready by:

  • Monitoring systems for control effectiveness
  • Automatically collecting and tagging evidence
  • Prompting task owners ahead of critical deadlines
  • Maintaining clear audit trails

During our SOC 2 Type II audit, we completed the entire review with no documentation gaps, zero last-minute scrambles, and minimal disruption to the team.

“Our auditor commented on the maturity of our compliance operations — largely thanks to how well SecureSlate organized our controls and evidence,” Morgan shares.

Strategic Readiness for Expansion

Looking ahead, Txo.io plans to expand into healthcare and European markets. We anticipate increased scrutiny around data protection, privacy regulations, and industry-specific compliance.

SecureSlate has positioned us well for this future. Its modular framework support allows us to layer in new standards, like HIPAA and GDPR, without starting from scratch.

We are now confident that we can adopt new compliance frameworks in weeks, not months, with minimal overhead.

“SecureSlate future-proofs our compliance operations. As requirements evolve, we’re ready to scale securely and efficiently,” says Morgan.
