Application Status auto-remediation

The Application Status test confirms your organization publishes a public status page for applications and services. When that evidence is missing, SecureSlate AI can run an auto-remediation workflow: it finds your status page, captures proof, and prepares everything for you to review—so you are not hunting for URLs, taking screenshots, and uploading files by hand.

What the agent does

For a failing Application Status test, the SecureSlate agent:

  1. Investigates why the test is failing and which application to check.
  2. Discovers your public status or health page.
  3. Validates that the page shows current operational status.
  4. Collects evidence—a screenshot plus supporting details (URL, status summary, services).
  5. Presents results for your review before anything is attached to the test.

You stay in control: nothing is saved until you Approve.

Run auto-remediation

  1. Open Tests and select Application Status.
  2. Open the Evidence tab.
  3. On the SecureSlate AI can fix this card, click Auto Fix.

The auto-remediation dialog opens. You will see each step progress in real time, then a Collected evidence screen when the agent is done.

Review and approve

Review what the agent collected:

  • Status page screenshot — proof your public status page is live
  • Endpoint — the status page URL that was verified
  • Status summary — overall operational message (for example, all services online)
  • Services — listed components and uptime where available

Then choose:

  • Approve — Evidence is attached to the test automatically. The test status updates the same way as when you upload evidence manually (including owner and review requirements).
  • Reject — Close without saving; the test is unchanged.

Important: Evidence is only applied after you click Approve.

After you approve

Approved evidence appears on the test Evidence tab like any other upload. If the test is still Failing, confirm a test owner is assigned and that your test interval and review date are up to date. Set your primary domain under Domain settings so future runs target the right application.

Upload evidence manually (optional)

You can still pass this test without the agent:

  1. Open Application StatusEvidence.
  2. Upload a screenshot of your public status page (PNG, JPG, or other supported formats).
  3. Click Save Evidence and ensure the test has an owner assigned.
